Midrand Chapel - Reaching A Changing World ... With The Changeless Word

Dear Friend ... Life in South Africa has many challenges including crime, unemployment,poverty and AIDS.Individuals and families are under a great deal of pressure and society at alrge is unable to provide the answers and the practical support that people need. Is there a message of hope, a means of triumph, amidst these realities.

There most certainly is! "In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us." (Rom 8:37). The Church exists to proclaim Christ's victory over sin and death and to help those who have placed their faith in Christ to live in the victory that He has provided. At Midrand Chapel we therefore aim to reach people and teach people for maturity in Christ.

We emphasize the bold proclamation of the gospel, accurate teaching of the Bible and Christ-centered worship. The Church glorifies God and grows in Holiness, love and service as each part does its work (Eph 4:16). At Midrand Chapel we therefore encourage believers to use their gifts and abilities to serve one another and to reach out to others.

What We Do ... The following is a brief introduction to various ministries at Midrand Chapel:

SUNDAY WORSHIP - We meet each Sunday morning from 09H00-10H30 to worship God together and to sit under the teaching of His Word. During this time children aged 2-High school may attend Sunday School. The Church is equipped with a creche for mothers with infants and toddlers.

HOMEGROUPS - Various home groups meet during the week, these provide an opportunity to interact around God's Word in a personal and informal  environment. For information concerning the time and venue of specific groups please contact Chris Woolley (084 294 8155)

LADIES - Ladies' Bible Study meets at 09H00 on Tuesday mornings at the Church. The focus of this ministry is on equipping women to learn and apply biblical truth in all areas of their lives. Childcare is also provided. For more information please contact Leanne Johnson (083 212 2127)

CHILDREN - For children aged 4 to grade 6, the Church runs an AWANA program on Friday evenings from 18H30-20H30 during school terms. The children enjoy games, fun, Scripture memorisation and receipt of merits for their diligent effort. For more information please contact Jonathan Russell (083 276 6646)

PRAYER - The Church gathers for corporate prayer each Sunday morning at 08H30. In addition, every third Sunday evening of the month is set aside for fellowship and prayer. For more information kindly contact the Church office (011 314 2728)
