Since 1958, SAID has been providing professional veterinary care to animals in an ever-growing number of townships and informal settlements. Based in Midrand, Johannesburg, South Africa.

Midrand Markets. The Midrand Urban Market  hosts over 120 Traders selling quality goods, Deli and take away foods.  Oodles of entertainment for the Children. Markets are on the First Saturday of every month.  300m up the road from the Crowthorne Shopping Centre. The Urban Market is a non-profit event run by a group of Midranders who attend the Urban Life Church, the proceeds of which ulitmately benefit Boshabelo, an organisation associated with and housed at the Church. History: The Clinic was initiated in 1986 in response to the pressing need for a service specialising in child sexual abuse examinations; a need that arose as more and more children were being empowered to disclose details of their abuse. It began as an outpatient facility of the Johannesburg Hospital and the Department of Paediatrics. The Therapeutic Unit grew around the medical component and now offers a variety of support services to sexually abused children, their families and the Child Protection System. The Head-Office operates from The Memorial Institute for Child Health and Development (TMI), which provides a wide range of services for children with special needs. The Clinic has established branches at the Courts in Soweto, Johannesburg and Krugersdorp (these, however, do not have a medical facility) and the Johannesburg General Hospital.

Lory Park Zoo is a unique, community focused sanctuary for Animals that focuses on bringing the community closer to our very special wildlife. Located at 181 Kruger Road, President Park, it has a Tea Garden, Jungle Gym and an animal-petting play area.
