THE BEGINNING - Immanuel's Haven (Gordon's Bay) - Bubbles Strangman has been caring for children at risk since 1995. She started Immanuel’s Haven in 2000 and was joined by George in 2004 when they got married. In 2006 they purchased a 1.7 hectare smallholding in Firlands, Gordon’s Bay near Cape Town, South Africa with the vision of creating a place of sanctuary for children at risk. Immanuel’s Haven is registered as a charity organisation with a Welfare Fundraising No 040 478 NPO and SARS PBO No 930030861.

History: The Clinic was initiated in 1986 in response to the pressing need for a service specialising in child sexual abuse examinations; a need that arose as more and more children were being empowered to disclose details of their abuse. It began as an outpatient facility of the Johannesburg Hospital and the Department of Paediatrics. The Therapeutic Unit grew around the medical component and now offers a variety of support services to sexually abused children, their families and the Child Protection System. The Head-Office operates from The Memorial Institute for Child Health and Development (TMI), which provides a wide range of services for children with special needs. The Clinic has established branches at the Courts in Soweto, Johannesburg and Krugersdorp (these, however, do not have a medical facility) and the Johannesburg General Hospital.

Lory Park Zoo is a unique, community focused sanctuary for Animals that focuses on bringing the community closer to our very special wildlife. Located at 181 Kruger Road, President Park, it has a Tea Garden, Jungle Gym and an animal-petting play area.

SCP provides HIV/AIDS Training and Counselling, runs Feeding Schemes for Street Kids, Orphans and the Homeless, helps with Fund Raising and provides assistance of any kind relating to Funding, Projects, Clothes, Feeding Schemes and much more.  SCP - caring and involved.

BUILDING BLOCKS FOR MIDRAND CHILD AND FAMILY CARE ASSOCIATION - Hi All - We urgently need assistance for Midrand Child and Family Care Association. Due to lack of funding we find ourselves in dire straits financially. We have exhausted all avenues and are in desperate need of financial assistance immediately to keep the doors open. We care for about 2000 children in the greater Midrand area and the social departments are only subsidizing certain projects. We have already cut projects in an attempt to keep other direct services operational but need more than R 200 000.00 each month to cover the operational costs.
